The 2025 Invention Convention was a huge success. There were over 43 participants from grades K-6, 18 of them from Godwin School. The Invention Convention is a home-based project designed to help student's problem-solving skills through the invention process. Each student is expected to develop an original idea for an invention from the concept stage to a completed model. Parents may assist with the prototype but the idea should be student-generated. Students are judged on: originality, usefulness, and the oral explanation of the idea.
The inventions varied from: a 3D clothes maker to windshield wipers for glasses to a robot that food shops and cooks. The students were well-versed, prepared, and excited to share their inventions. It was a great night for everyone! Thank you to Mrs. Lisa O'Connor for organizing the event.
