What do I want to be when I grow up? The students at Godwin School got an education on different professions during Career Day on April 10. Each grade level learned about four new professions through personalized classroom presentations. Community members and local agencies shared their talents with our youngsters to broaden their horizons and expand their knowledge base.
The professions spanned far and wide:
Midland Park Police
Steve Bartosik - Musician
Sherry Sansone - Nurse
Alina Branda - Jewelry entrepreneur
Joe Branda - JNA Fitness
Samantha Szentmiklosy - Graphic Designer
Lee Russeth - Valley Hospital Life Specialist
Joseph Jarroush - COO of Universal Yums
Master Paul - Kim's Martial Arts
Corinne McCombs - Hairstylist
Christine Soderman - Therapist
Veenstra Family Dental
Students reflected on the presentations and decided which career they would pursue. We have budding young dentists and doctors, therapists and musicians. The world is their oyster and they can be anything they want!!
Thank you to all of our presenters. We appreciate the effort they put into their presentations and the time they took away from their jobs.
