DISTRICT TECHNOLOGY COORDINATOR - 12 MONTH POSITION

Anticipated Start Date:  

February 23, 2026

Salary Range:  $90,000 - $130,000

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Has five or more years of experience working in the education field.

  2. Successful technical training or experience administering local area networks.

  3. Considerable working knowledge of computer operating systems.

  4. General knowledge of computers and technology as they apply to K-12 education.

  5. Knowledge of cybersecurity, system management, and system maintenance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Coordinates the maintenance, operation, and management of existing school computer networks.

  2. Facilitates the use of existing and emerging technology by staff and students.

  3. Performs all functions and procedures necessary to install and maintain the school network, hardware, software, and subscriptions.

  4. Develops and maintains network procedures to ensure regular system backups on a timely basis, and maintains network security.

  5. Coordinates and oversees installation of routines necessary to network school computers and software solutions.

  6. Develops procedures and processes for effective management of technology in the educational setting for the district, including testing.

  7. Coordinates with central office administration and school principals to support curriculum and instructional program initiatives requiring technical assistance.

  8. Cooperates with central office administrators and school principals and maintains the district website, district-wide electronic information systems, and provides technical assistance, as needed.

  9. Assists with the planning, design, and installation of future network expansions as growth demands.

  10. Coordinates and/or provides training to school staff in network, hardware, and software use.

  11. Disseminate and communicate pertinent technology information to district stakeholders regarding changes or updates to current procedures or devices (e.g., running updates, deleting spam, service maintenance, etc.)

  12. Coordinates activities of outside vendors, consultants, and trainers.

  13. Assists in the Preparation of State-mandated reports.

  14. Assists in the development and coordination of the sections of the budget that relate to educational technology.

  15. Maintains inventory of district technology equipment, software, and subscriptions, and ensures proper licenses are acquired and implemented appropriately.
