The "dancer's body" workout is designed to help you develop a longer, leaner body.  Barre uses small, controlled movements, isometric holds and high repetition.  Define and lift the hips, thighs and glutes!  Sculpt the abs and shape the arms!  There's nothing else like it.  The format includes light weights for upper body, standing barre work for lower body, mat work for abs.  Participants will need a mat and one pair of 2-3 lb. weights.  Instructor: DENISE SWAN

Heartsaver CPR AED is a video-based, instructor-led course that teaches adult and child CPR and AED use, infant CPR, and how to relieve choking in adults, children, and infants. This course teaches skills with the AHA’s research-proven practice-while-watching technique, which allows instructors to observe the students, provide feedback, and guide the students’ learning of skills. This course is for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in CPR and AED used to meet job, regulatory, or other requirements.  Instructor: RICHARD VAN DER WALL

Heartsaver First Aid teaches critical skills to respond to and manage an emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services arrive. Learn first aid actions including choking, heart attack, and stroke, skills for handling injury and environmental emergencies including external bleeding, broken bones and sprains, and bites and stings. This class is for people with limited or no medical training. Upon completion, you’ll receive an American Heart Association Heartsaver First Aid certification card valid for 2 years.   Instructor: RICHARD VAN DER WALL

Are you confused by all the nutrition information that seems to contradict itself every day? Nutrition 101 is a course that will teach you the fundamentals of health and wellness so you can navigate through the fad diets, fancy exercise plans and snake oil salespeople. Dan Mezzina is a NESTA certified Fitness Nutrition Coach and Sports Nutrition Specialist with years of experience coaching everyone from athletes to the office worker. He will guide you through meal planning methods, sleep optimization, how to shop and more!! Instructor:  DAN MEZZINA

Beginner mat class is for people who have never tried Pilates before or those who’ve had a substantial break & need to review. Pilates is a series of precise movements that work together to develop a strong core (torso) specifically abdomen & back.  It strengthens & tones all muscles, improves posture & flexibility & unites body/mind.  Participants need to bring a mat.   Instructor will provide bands or small balls as needed.  One pair of 2 lb. weights will be needed when the instructor indicates.

Intermediate mat classes are for those who have attended ten or more classes (recently), and/or have a good  knowledge of basic form & technique & are looking to "take it up a notch" with more challenging exercises.  The format is primarily mat work with some standing exercises.  Instructor will provide small balls or bands as needed.  Participants will need to bring a mat & one pair of 2 - 3 lb. weights. Restorative Yoga focuses on relaxing the body in restful postures. Rest is different from sleep.  Rest provides our body the opportunity to renew, heal and restore.  There are physical and emotional benefits to this practice. The restorative effects of this form of yoga should never be overlooked no matter what age.  By using props in the postures, it allows one to feel the restorative power that will do wonders to the body. Students must bring a yoga mat, blanket (throw), hand towel and yoga strap (10 ft.), 2 yoga blocks. Eat at least 2 hours before class or have a light snack like yogurt and water. This is a slower paced class suitable for beginners and advanced beginner practitioners. The flow of the class incorporates breath with movement and focuses on developing strength, flexibility and balance. This class will cover the traditional Sun Salutation and most of the level 1 standing and seated postures. Bring a yoga mat and wear comfortable clothing. Blocks and straps are optional.  Instructor: AILEEN PURCELL

A shorter, simpler dance fitness class that breaks the steps down.  You have the option of increasing your muscle tone by bringing 1.0 lb.  weights. Dance is good for your balance, your brain and your mood. Join us! Please bring water and a towel.  Instructor: SILVIA ACOSTA

Join us for a Latin dance party! Basic Latin rhythms such as Salsa, Merengue, Samba and Cumbia! We encourage you to bring 1.0 lb. weights to strengthen and sculpt your muscles. Not only will you get a cardio workout, you will benefit from the stress relief that comes from dance. 15-20 minutes of Toning moves will be built in! Come and join us!
