Provides basic understanding of home electricity in three sessions.  This is for students who want to learn, understand and practice minor electrical repairs.  This course takes the student through hands-on activities based on common electrical home repairs and follows a Black & Decker outline.  Topics include:  Electrical circuit, safety, testing and tools, fuses and circuit breakers, replacing plugs, switches, receptacles and light fixtures and wiring a new fixture

Students in this class learn basic knowledge in home plumbing repairs. There will be videos, repair demonstrations and hands-on practice.  Topics covered: repairing and replacing faucets, repairing and replacing P traps, leaking toilets, repairing and replacing shower heads, basic tools and types of pipes.

Students who have not taken Basic Plumbing class are welcomed.  Plumbing 02 class will cover maintenance discussions of plumbing items that can not be brought to class.  For example maintenance, repairs and replacement of:  entire sink, basic water filtration, hot water heaters, toilets, sewer drains, etc.  The hands on will be on replacing a faucet washer, toilet floats, pex piping. SEWING - BEGINNERS (Ages 14 & up)                                            FEE: $175

Monday, 6:30 p.m.-9:00 p.m. (10 sess. beg. Sept. 19)                                       Midland Park H.S.

Students will learn the basics of sewing including seams, hems, zippers, buttonholes, pattern selection &

layout.  Each student is required to bring their own sewing machines with instruction manual in order

to learn how to operate them more effectively. Please bring it the first night of class along with a 3 ring

binder and a ½ yard of muslin fabric. Class limited to 12 students.

SEWING - ADVANCED (Ages 14 & up)                                               FEE: $175

 (no class 10/5 & 11/23)         

Advanced sewing techniques will be taught. Prerequisite for this class is sewing for beginners.

STUDENTS MUST HAVE SEWING EXPERIENCE!  Students should bring their own sewing machines
